Cream of Chicken Vegetable Soup

I made this for dinner last night. It was super delicious! It fed my family of 4, with enough leftovers for lunch today. Cheap and YUMMY! My Favorite!

Cream of Chicken Vegetable Soup
1 Tbsp butter
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cups hot water
2 chicken bouillon cubes
1 can sliced potatoes - .50 cents @dollar store
1 can sliced carrots - .50 cents @dollar store
1 can green beans
1 can corn
1 chicken breast, cooked and chopped - leftover from the night before
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 can evaporated milk

Saute onion in butter. Dissolve bouillon cubes in water. Drain vegetables, Put juices in freezer to save for future soup. Add remaining ingredients, except milk. Simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in milk to heat through.

I served this with homemade bread.

Everyone left the table full and happy:)

Indoor Clothesline

Today, I put a clothes line up in my basement. Granted, it is not a finished basement, so I had bare walls and studs - DH was not home :). I put three screws in each stud on both sides of the room. Then I wrapped the rope around the screw and thread it until I had 3 lengths to hang clothes on.

I can't hang them outside because of allergies, but I can hang them inside. Why didn't I think of this before? DUH! It might take longer to dry, but I save energy.
